Our stay at Tucan Hostel was fantastic. When my friend fell ill, the owners went above and beyond to take care of her, even bringing her to the hospital and visiting her. The hostel is in a great area, with clean showers, a common kitchen, and included breakfast. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hostel and would love to stay here again.

The beds were really comfy with good and hard mattresses, and the blankets provided were nice and warm. I also appreciated the curtains on the bunk beds, which allowed for privacy and a good night's sleep. The staff was really friendly and provided me with lots of information about the city, including recommendations for trekking companies. Additionally, the location of the hostel was great, as it was only a 10 to 15-minute walk from the main square and the San Pedro market.
The hostel had limited kitchen facilities for cooking your own meals, and the sink for cleaning clothes was quite small. However, they did offer laundry service at reasonable prices.

Best Value for Money & Great Atmosphere: This hostel offers the best value for money. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to provide information and assistance. The free city tours and Spanish lessons are a great added bonus. Plus, the hostel has a great atmosphere and multiple communal areas to relax and meet other travelers.
Worst Location: The climb to the hostel can be quite challenging, especially considering the high altitude of the city.

I got great value for my money at Tucan. The room was spacious, cozy, and had all the amenities I needed.
The food for breakfast could have been more diverse and had a wider selection.

The hostel had clean hot showers, which was a real plus. The breakfast that was included was really nice, and it was great to have a common kitchen where we could cook our own meals. The location of the hostel was also very convenient, being close to the center and within walking distance of attractions.
The cleanliness of the hostel was very disappointing. The bathrooms were filthy and the trash was not taken out during our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this hostel. The private room was spacious and the front desk staff were helpful. They even provided a heater for our room when it got cold at night. We were able to store our bags for free while we went on a trek, and they kindly let us stay again after we returned. The hostel had a small but functional kitchen, a rare find in this city. The entire place was kept impeccably clean, including the beds and bathrooms. The location, although on a slight hill, was close to the city center and within a 10-minute walk of major attractions. The staff's friendliness and willingness to assist made us feel well taken care of.
Absolutely nothing.

I had a fantastic stay at Tucan! The staff were helpful and provided us with great advice and assistance during our trip. They even called an ambulance for me when I had a health issue. The hostel offers a convenient luggage storage service for treks and allowed us to shower even after checking out. The rooms were spacious and the hot showers were amazing. The rustic feel of the rooms added a romantic touch. I highly recommend Tucan for its friendly staff, clean facilities, and great amenities.

Great location! The staff were amazing and friendly. The front desk was very helpful when we had a mishap with our airline tickets. The breakfast was delicious and the lady serving us was kind and always made sure everything was re-stocked.
The cleanliness of the bathrooms was a disaster. There were also loud parties happening, which made it difficult to sleep.

The beds were comfortable and warm, perfect for the cold nights. The showers were also great, with plenty of hot water. The staff were really friendly and helpful, making my stay enjoyable. The location of the hostel was excellent, just a short walk away from the main tourist area.
There was no filtered water available, so I had to keep buying bottles. Additionally, there was a shortage of bathrooms and showers, especially on the upper floor where I stayed.
